In the Appalachian foothills of Southeastern Ohio, we offer a relaxed place to stay that is more like family, and less like a museum. Expect a place where you can read on the porch in your bare feet and where your children can turn over rocks in the creek.
Business travelers can enjoy a respite from the loneliness and sterility of a motel to walk the grounds, enjoy the gardens, and talk with friendly others if you desire.

5/19/2010 Update.
The raised beds are finished and the brassicas (broccoli,cabbage, bok choi brussels sprouts etc.) are enjoying the cool rains. After much discouragement about no germination from the peppers, squashes, and eggplants, they are mysteriously coming up in the greenhouse.
Yesterday I found a giant toad, so I encouraged her with a pan of water, which she accepted right away. We are getting ready for June weddings, and the weeding and mulching are almost finished. Hope you will come and see the perennial gardens and the spring blooms. --Kathy
